New training program helps fill the skills gap

It's estimated that by 2019, over three-quarters of all jobs will require at least some post-secondary education. To give low-skilled employees a chance to move up and fill these jobs, B.C.'s new $3-million Targeted Skills Shortage Pilot Program will help local businesses and non-profit organizations train current staff to better meet the demands of a changing labour market.

Targeted Skills Shortage Pilot Program

ASPECT is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Targeted Skills Shortage Pilot Program through the Ministry of Regional, Economic and Skills Development.

ASPECT is committed to supporting our members and bid on this contract as a membership service. We anticipate a quick negotiation process and expect to post our Request for Proposals before the end of this week.
