ASPECT meets regularly with provincial and federal governments, promoting the value of community-based training by maintaining open communication and advocating on the part of our member agencies.

ASPECT's advocacy initiatives include…

  • Promotion and advocacy on behalf of the community-based employment sector in BC with a goal of informing government to achieve enhanced policies and services.
  • Information sharing and collaboration allows us to keep members informed of emerging issues;
  • Enhanced access to information relating to government initiatives and changes in policy and procedure;
  • Cohesive, integrated representation to government and other public bodies on behalf of our members and clients;
  • Broadened opportunities to have a voice in government;
  • Enhanced credibility of the sector as a whole and;
  • Increased opportunities to be heard by government
