Casual work for youths
Some student jobseekers want to keep it casual.
The casual labour program at the Lower Mainland Service Canada Centres for Youth offers person power that lasts from two hours to five days. Casual labour jobs can provide businesses with extra staff during busy seasons or provide temporary staff to cover employee holidays. Typical positions include distributing flyers, working at local festivals, clerical roles and farm work. These workers can also serve in private homes doing tasks such as babysitting, painting, lawn mowing and yard work. Youths can sign up indicating their work experience and availability.
Employers and homeowners looking for short-term help or youth looking to sign up for the casual labour program are encouraged to call 604-658-8358 or visit servicecanada.ca/sccy
