Summer might be a quieter season for some, but here at ASPECT, we’ve been deep in planning mode.
The ASPECT Conference program is now complete, and we’re thrilled with the lineup of presenters, workshops, and discussions that reflect the feedback and interests you’ve shared with us. Registration is open, and if the past two years are any indication, we expect to sell out by the end of September—so I encourage you to register early to avoid disappointment.
Beyond the conference, we’re working with partners to develop new workshops and webinars that respond to your evolving needs. Whether it’s supervisor training, building inclusive practices, or addressing regional challenges, we’re focused on delivering learning that’s practical, accessible, and relevant to your work on the ground.
I also had the opportunity to attend one of the Future of WorkBC consultation sessions this week. It was incredibly encouraging to see so many of our members participating and offering insightful suggestions to improve the next iteration of the program. Everyone raised thoughtful, pointed questions. Providing suggestions and identifying gaps that, frankly, don’t yet appear to be part of the plan. Your input is critical, and your willingness to speak up for your communities is exactly what’s needed right now. I know that those from government facilitating the consultation appreciated the feedback and trust that the new program will reflect what they heard.
Thank you for all that you do. ASPECT’s work is powered by your leadership, your collaboration, and your belief in the value of community-based employment services.
As always, I’m just an email away if you’d like to connect.
